With summer weather here, I want ice cream ALL OF THE TIME! For a no guilt, healthy solution, I've started turning Veggie and Fruit Juices into Sorbets!
This recipe was a blend of both and it was DELICIOUS!!!!!! I can't wait to make it again.
Recipe:
In the juicer juice: (all organic)
1/2 bunch of kale
1 orange pepper
1 yellow pepper
2 cucumbers
1 pineapple
1 apple
Pour all the juice into the ice cream maker machine with:
1 tsp salt (I used hamptons maple salt for a sweet/salty blend)
5 tsp sweetner (I used 3 tsp Health Garden Agave Powder and 2 tsp of their coconut sugar)
6 tsp coconut oil (If you're going to serve the whole batch right away, you can skip this step. If you're going to freeze part of it, the oil has been helpful in keeping it from getting too icy in the freezer)
I garnished with Pineapple and Coconut chips from Natural Sins and a gluten free chocolate sugar cone from Goldbaums.
